Vizi Andrei
Writer, Brand Strategist, Full-time Tinkerer
Hi there. Welcome to my digital living room. A few notes about me. Friends call me Vizi and I live in Brașov, Transylvania. You’re probably (hopefully) here thanks to my writing: my main focus these days is delivering electrifying essays exploring the vital aspects of modernity. But maybe the greatest success of my career so far is that I’ve never been employed. Not even for one single day.
My projects led me to work and collaborate with Gumroad, Brain Bar, Ed Latimore, Naval Ravikant, Larry Sanger, and Jim O’Shaughnessy, among others. I’m formally trained in law (Global Law) at one of the best programs in the world.
Being self-employed à la longue requires a weird spiritual cocktail—you need discipline but not obedience; you need both courage and pragmatism, strategy and zest; you have to be cocky yet wise, and you must be irrationally afraid of employment. To figure out what I wanted, I didn’t dream about building the “perfect” career. I started by defining my worst career nightmare. The first step toward learning what you want is being very specific about what you hate. And my worst career nightmare either means working in a corporate setting or (my novel enemy) becoming an overworked entrepreneur.
